Heal yourself from the worryvirus

Heal yourself from the worryvirus

You don’t need to turn on the news to know how scary and stressful these days are for the entire planet. We’re all living it in real-time. The Coronavirus is spreading rapidly with growing numbers and multiplying indiscriminately from one community to the next.

No borders, no discrimination. People of all ages are dying. And along the way, the virus is shutting down cities, overwhelming hospitals, and health officials, and all while wreaking havoc on our global economic stability. And the worst part is, no one knows when this pandemic will end, or what our lives will look like when it’s over. There is no timeline, no vaccine, and no near end in sight. There is only uncertainty, which leads to fear and worry.

Unfortunately, all these worries are making matters much worse than they could have been.

But there is also hope. I genuinely believe this. The virus is a master teacher. In fact, I believe if we can overcome our fears and worry, we can take this challenging moment in history and transform it into something that just might illuminate the world and change it forever (for the better).

But we must heal ourselves — not just from the Coronavirus — but from WorryVirus.

Yes, worry is just as deadly a pandemic (maybe more). Worry and fear rob us of a meaningful life. It keeps us blocked from the Present Moment — and not only from joy and happiness, but from peace, and all the truth and wisdom we need to get through these challenging times. Fear is a frozen state that keeps us locked in the past — wishing for the way things were. Fear also keeps us locked in the future — hoping or dreading the way things might end up. We must heal ourselves from worry so that we may boldly and creatively face the challenges the world is going through today. We must also heal ourselves from fear so that we may come face to face with the truths that come from living a spiritual life.

How do we do this?

Well, we certainly can’t deny the physical reality of this pandemic. We must face what lies ahead with our eyes wide open. We must remain vigilant and smart, and then individually and collectively do our part to end this virus. We must stay in place, practice social distancing, wash our hands, boost our immune systems, and take the necessary precautions to prevent spreading. This must be our unwavering mission.

However, there is so much more we can do. We can take responsibility for our consciousness and begin to heal the WorryVirus that lives within.

We can start by remembering that we are spiritual beings who are here on Earth so that we may grow and evolve our consciousness. This is key. Unfortunately, the only time our planet digs deep into our true Divinity is when we come face to face with enormous and often life-threatening challenges. But that is life. Either way, this moment in time is our opportunity to go deeper — to start asking who we are, why we are here, and how we can know God more closely.

The way to heal ourselves from worry is to recognize our true Divinity and welcome our spirituality, which is, and always has been, the channel that will take us out of the darkness and toward the light.

The way to heal ourselves from worry is to also practice gratitude (especially in challenging times). The virus has brought us a lot of blessings, some of them we are just starting to see and appreciate. Fish are swimming in clear waters in Venecia. More whales and dolphins are appearing across multiple oceans. Pigs are playing on the streets of Italy. Deers on the boardwalk in Israel.

The Universe is slowing down. People are slowing down. We’re kinder. And there is much more love and compassion in the world today. We are each taking a new look at the world around us. Most importantly, we are starting to reevaluate what is important in life.

And what is important in life is that we are not our bodies or the viruses that may or may not run through our bodies. We are part of a deeper Divinity. What we have been given today is a wake-up call for us to stop — live in the Moment — and realize who we are.

There are those in the world today who will say that we are in the middle of a war right now. Of course, it is a completely different war than what we are used to. There are no tanks and bullets, no airplanes, or armies. This is a biological war. But, more than that, it is also a war for our spirit. Our soul. For what we believe. This is a time in our lives (an opportunity really) when we have to take responsibility for our creations, and for us to realize how powerful we are. This is our moment to show God that we believe and trust. And, I know once we stop engaging with the fear, we can then begin to reverse this virus.

Yes, my friends, a miracle is about to happen. Healing is coming. Positive change is just around the corner. When, and how fast this will happen? It’s up to us.

Yes, my friends, a miracle is about to happen. You and I must first do our part. We must each take care of our body, mind, and spirit. And when we do, we can sit back and allow God to do his thing.

Say “I love you” to the virus and your fears. Show the other cheek. Remind yourself that what we resist, persists.

And, please, do not believe everything you hear! Beathe! Trust! The world will never be the same, and you will be witness to all the amazing and positive changes that are coming our way. Things you could have never imagined possible will finally happen.

Be ready for some miracles.
